Men’s 1s

Head Coach: Len Fernandes
Manager: Jez Sorenson
Captains: Jasdev Singh/Nic Jolly

Our Men’s 1s team will play in Premier 1 competition of the Hockey Western Australia Competition. After winning promotion back into Premier 1 in 2023, the team will be aiming to leave their mark on the division in the coming seasons. The squad is led by experienced Head Coach, ex-AIS Scholarship holder, Len Fernandes. The group is a mixture of talented young players with the odd older heads. We aim to compete at the highest level possible while upholding the club’s values and proving to be aspirational examples to members of all ages. The squad is fully integrated into the club with many members also performing coaching roles.

Men’s 2s

Coach: Matthew Battistessa
Manager: TBC
Captain: TBC

The Men’s 2s will play in Division 4 of the Hockey Western competition. After a successful 2024 season, winning the premiership but unfortunately missing out on promotion, the 2s main aim will be to gain promotion into the Premier 3 Hockey WA Competition.
The team is coached by ex-triple Premiership winning 1s coach Matthew Battistessa. The team consists of several North Coast Raiders players that have played in our Men’s 1s for a number of years coupled with some talented youth players looking to gain some experience before taking the big step up.

Lower Grades Head Coach: Keelan O'Neil

The 3s,4s &,5s will be led by Keelan O'Niel with the help of his Game Day Coaches.

Mens 3s

Coach: Jordan Pearmine

Captain: Stu Oldfield

The Men’s 3s are a development team for the 1s and 2s. With many players pushing for 2s and training three times a week, supported by experienced hands who turn up, play hard and enjoy their hockey. The 2s had a very successful 2024 finishing 2nd in Division 6 of the Hockey Western competition, which should see them compete in Division 5 for the 2025 season.

4s & 5s

4s Coach: Aaron George

5s Coach: TBC

The 4s currently play in Division 8, and the 5s in division 10, of the Hockey WA Competition. With emphasis on the social aspect of the sport, these teams include a core team plus juniors transitioning to the more competitive men’s leagues. We regularly see father and son playing in these teams. Our aim is to gain promotion from both these grades and continue developing players and the teams.

O35S (Formally Metro 1s (Grass))

The original Metro 1s team was put together to enable young dads to continue playing whilst still being able to spend time with the family. The squad is made up of players who were playing at a Premier 1 level right through to the lower turf grades, players who had left the sport and complete beginners. This team will not join the newly formed o35s Mens Premier League for the 2025 season. The team’s main objective is to maintain the ambitious standards set since forming in 2020.

Metro 2s (Grass)

The Metro 2s team (originally Metro 3s yellow) formed in 2024 as a core group of players joined the club. Aided by a few of our Raiders stalwarts the team embedded themselves at Raiders perfectly and are a huge part of our ever expanding mens program. This team had a very successful season in Metro 3s, finishing 2nd and also playing finals.

Metro 3s (Grass)

The Metro 3s team formed in 2024 as a new Dads and Lads team, featuring players of all ranges of abilities. The team features 4 sets of Dads and their sons, including first time hockey players and experienced veterans. The team also had a very successful season, losing on strokes in the 2024 Grand Final, they are hoping to go one better this year.
