We have policies in place to make sure that all members of our club are in a safe and protected environment. We work to be as inclusive as possible and adhere to all community guidelines.

Our Safeguarding Policy is in place to keep all members of our club safe. It is covered under Hockey Australia SAFE hockey program.
We have two Safeguarding Officers who have been trained to deal with any issues and can be reached on safeguarding@northcoastraiders.club.

1. Understand the rules and play by them: Play within the rules and take due care to avoid injuries, including any Hockey Australia and Hockey WA requirements.
2. Act fairly: Act in a fair and sporting manner and in such a way as to ensure good relations within and between teams and other people or organisations.
3. Respect officials: Show respect to umpires and all other officials. If you disagree with an action, talk to your Coach or Captain who will discuss the situation with you.
4. Control your temper: Members must control their temper and actions. Refrain from using obscene, offensive or insulting language and/or making obscene gestures which may insult other players, officials or spectators.
5. Show respect: Respect, support and cooperate with your Coach, Team Captain, team members, opponents, umpires and officials. This includes following the reasonable directions of your Coach and/or Captain during training and matches.
6. Equality: Respect the right, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, sexuality, ability, cultural background or religion and treat all people equally.
7. Selection issues: If you have a selection, coaching or other hockey-related issue raise the problem at an appropriate time with your coach or club official.
8. Club playing rules: Comply with all club playing rules, including wearing the right uniform, attending the required level of training, umpire as required by Hockey WA and otherwise generally support the North Coast Raiders Hockey Club.
9. Act properly: Members must conduct themselves in a manner to the reasonable satisfaction of North Coast Raiders Hockey Club, so as not to bring themselves or the North Coast Raiders Hockey Club into public disrepute or censure. Upon registration as a player at North Coast Raiders Hockey Club all players must adhere to the Players Code of Conduct above. Any player or official found to have contravened the above Code of Conduct may be excluded from playing and training until a review can be conducted.
