North Coast Raiders Hockey Club Women will field four weekend turf teams in 2023 (Premier 1, Premier 2, Division 4 and Division 7) catering for a range of abilities up to and including the Premier League (Division 1). In addition to the turf sides, Raiders will field two grass teams who play on Saturday afternoons at either 2:00pm or 3:30pm and 3 mid-week masters teams who play on turf on Wednesday nights.
Our fabulous club’s motto is ‘Raiders4life’ and we encourage members of all ages and abilities to play in a team which caters for their ability and level of availability whether that be elite, casual, or social hockey. We love to see our members come right through the ranks from Hookin2hockey to whatever level they desire. We also love to see women who have had a break from hockey, some for many years to play with us in either weekend or mid-week teams in a casual or full-time capacity.
Raiders prides itself on our junior development/transition to senior hockey pathway which encourages current junior girls to play in senior teams to gain experience and instruction from our exceptional senior coaching staff and experienced players. In 2022 over thirty junior girls were given an opportunity to play in both the senior turf and grass grades. Current Division 1 Head Coach and former Hockeyroo and twice Charlesworth Medal winner Jacqui Day is passionate about developing our future junior stars.
